Air traffic package supply project for TWR of Kazan Aviation Factory n.a. S.P.Gorbunov - branch of Tupolev PJSC is successfully completed.


Kazan Aviation Factory n.a. S.P.Gorbunov is the unique aircraft maker. Over the period of its existence the factory has produced 22 types of aviation-related equipment, more than 20 thousand in total including world-famous aircrafts Pe-2, Pe-8, Tu-16, Tu-104Б, Tu-22MZ, Tu-160, IL-62М. The factory has Borisoglebskoye Airfield to perform development experimental work and to test aviation products.


The new ATC package includes ALPHA ATC System for 8 automated workstations and PLANETA-5 FDPS for 3 planning controller workstations. The voice communication is arranged based on MEGAPHONE VCSS in configuration for 12 workstations and 36 interface modules. GRANIT Recorder is installed in configuration for 32 analog channels and one playback workstation. The ATC package data is protected by means of SFERA Information Protection Software. New ergonomic console equipment is also installed. 


The radar module of EXPERT ATC Simulator is supplied for controller staff training and practices. All the workstations are located at consoles of PULT-A series and equipped with MEGAPHONE VCSS. The simulator functionality fully conforms to ATC system and VCSS supplied in the framework of the project enabling substantial increase in the efficiency of training in air traffic control skills.


Fitting-out such important sites of experimental aviation as the flight test airfield of Kazan Aviation Factory n.a. S.P.Gorbunov with up-to-date ATC equipment is a long stride towards improvement of efficiency and safety of the aviation equipment flight testing process.
